Marshall says: ‘These songs are audio stories of my journey on life’s highway this last decade or so. 19:15 The Brothers Gillespie
Brothers James and Sam Gillespie grew up in the Northumbrian village of Wall and sing finely crafted original and traditional songs. Rich with lyrical intensity and the sounds of soaring sibling harmony, guitars, flute, fiddle and mandolin, their second album ‘The Fell’ has been described as ‘a classic in the making’.
As well as the folk traditions of Britain and Ireland they are deeply inspired by the folk revival artists of the 60’s and 70’s including Bert Jansch, Nick Drake, John Martyn, Sandy Denny, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and the American roots folk and blues traditions.

Indie-folk artist Melanie Baker, hailing from the Lake District, isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve. Her direct and honest lyricism capture themes such as falling in and out of love, self-reflection and the anxieties of modern life. Her captivating live set has been refined over years of performing and since playing her first solo gigs as a teenager, she has gone onto support the likes of dodie, Tessa Violet, Maisie Peters and Will Varley.
